Opis
Boubín (1,362 m) is the highest peak of the Šumava (Bohemian Forest) Vogt mountains. The Boubínský prales — a 250-year-old virgin forest surrounding the summit — is one of the last true primeval forests in Central Europe and has been a protected nature reserve since 1858. Massive silver firs and Norway spruces over 50 metres tall make this a truly unique destination among Czech mountains.
