Opis
Cadillac Mountain (466 m) in Acadia National Park, Maine, is the highest point on the eastern seaboard of the United States and — from October to March — the first place in the US to see the sunrise. A paved summit road makes it one of the most accessible mountain summits in the country, yet the panoramic view of the Atlantic Ocean, Bar Harbor, and the surrounding islands is genuinely spectacular.

Summit Road reservation required in high season (May–Oct, $6/vehicle timed entry via recreation.gov). Summit walk-up trails also available (Blue Hill Overlook Trail — easy, 30 min). Sunrise visits are especially popular — arrive before dawn. Acadia NP entrance pass required ($35/vehicle). Year-round access.
