Opis
Čerchov (1,042 m) is the highest peak of the Šumava (Bohemian Forest) near the German border in western Bohemia. An Austrian military observation tower from the 19th century stands on the summit. The forested ridge marks the natural boundary between Bohemia and Bavaria. The surrounding Domažlice region is famous for its Chodish cultural heritage and colourful folk traditions.
