Opis
Gerlachovský štít (2,655 m) is the highest peak of the High Tatras, Slovakia, and the entire Carpathian mountain range. Rising above the Veľká Studená dolina valley, its imposing north face is one of the most technically demanding walls in Central Europe. The ascent requires a certified mountain guide and takes most parties 8–10 hours round trip via the standard south ridge route. The panoramic summit view extends to three countries.
